Books Madi is Reading (22 Months)

I’m pretty much at the end of telling people my baby’s age in months. I think that using months after the age of 2 is just too much mental math. But here we have some books Madi has been enjoying at the ripe age of 22 months 🙂 Books Yummy: Eight Favorite Fairy Tales by Lucy Cousins – I have been searching for a book of fairy tales that Madison would actually sit through. Almost every one I’ve found has way too much text per page or too intricate of illustrations to keep her attention. This is the perfect fairy tale book for toddlers (and babies!)

Number One Sam by Greg Pizzoli – This is such a cute story about a little dog who always gets first place, except when he doesn’t – a great story for children to learn that it’s okay when we don’t get first place and that there are other ways to be a winner.

Raindrops Roll by April Pulley Sayre – Absolutely stunning photography paired with simple text.

Bark, George by Jules Feiffer – Madison loves this story so much. This is pretty much a guaranteed hit for toddlers– a dog who can’t bark is taken to the vet by his mother only to discover a strange secret!

Duck in the Truck by Jez Alborough – A duck can’t get his truck out of the muck and many other animals come to his aid. The rhyming is sweet and the illustrations sweeter. Your toddler will love it!

Time to Get Dressed by Elivia Savadier – Toddlers can relate to this story as a dad tries to get his toddler dressed and fed only to have his efforts thwarted by a very independent toddler trying to do it all by himself. We are loving these books! I highly recommend them. What are you and your toddlers reading?
